Much like their cars - Abarth has an extremely interesting history. Founded by Carlo Abarth a successful motorcycle and racing driver in 1949, the company's logo was designed around Carlo's birth sign - the scorpion.
“Even at the age of 11 Carlo Abarth was already a legend in the making; covering the wooden wheels of his scooter with a leather belt so that he could go faster and win against the older children in his neighbourhood.”
Throughout their history Abarth vehicles have maintained the same philosophy - renowned for being high-performing and powerful, but first and foremost small and agile just like the Scorpion. A fact that is particularly apparent since their resurgence in 2007, with the Abarth 500 and 124 Spider.
